Creating an efficient and user friendly environment for you and your team has been one of LingoHub's priorities since day one. 

To help you achieve the most in managing your team members, we have created Collaborator Permissions

There are 4 available collaborator permissions within LingoHub, that can be assigned on an organization and project level. 

  • Organization Owner
  • Organization Administrator
  • Project Administrator
  • Translator

Organization Owner


As the Organization Owner, you can access all projects in an organization and manage the following features and information: 

  • Enter billing information and change subscription plan 
  • Create and delete projects
  • Add, manage, remove collaborators - including organization owners and administrators
  • Place Translation Orders
  • Mark Text Segments as Translatable or Untranslatable

Tip!


If a Text Segment is marked as Untranslatable, it can still be edited by the Organization Owner, Organization Administrator and Project Administrator.

Organization Administrator


The Organization Administrator is quite a powerful player in your organization.

This role is ideal for collaborators that work on multiple or all projects in an organization.

Tip!

 

The permission for the Organization Administrator can be extended by allowing
Full Access. The Organization Owner can grant Full Access by clicking the appropriate checkbox within the Collaborator Settings.

Depending on whether or not the Organization Administrator has full access or not, they hold the following permissions:

  • Create and delete projects
  • Edit Organization Settings
  • Add Text Segments & Translations for all languages
  • Change the Status any Text Segment
  • Add and remove languages
  • Connect to repositories
  • Import and export Resource Files
  • Change LingoCheck Settings
  • Edit Project Settings (for example: title, avatar)
  • Mark Text Segments as Translatable or Untranslatable

Full access:


Full access includes several additional permissions:

  • Adding, managing and removing collaborators across all projects within an organization
  • Place translation orders across all projects of an Organization 

Project Administrator


The Project Administrator is the head of the project. 

This role includes several permissions but only within a project. These permissions depend on whether full access is granted or not.

  • Add Text Segments and Translations for all languages
  • Change the Status of any Text Segment
  • Add and remove languages
  • Connect to repositories
  • Import and export Resource Files
  • Change LingoCheck Settings
  • Edit Project Settings (for example: title, avatar)
  • Mark Text Segments as Translatable or Untranslatable

Full Access

Full access includes several additional permissions:

  • Adding, managing and removing collaborators across all projects within the project
  • Place translation orders within the project

Translator


The translator in your team will be happy to know that we have created a special permission profile just for them. 

The Translator has access to the following permissions within a project:

  • Add and Edit translations for any of the assigned languages
  • Change the Status of any Text Segment to Translated

Review Permission 


In case your team needs a reviewer, you can add this permission to any translator within your team.

This permission allows the translator to change the Status of any Text Segment into "Reviewed".

You can assign this permission to translators in the Collaborator Details settings
