GDPR compliance
Updated over a week ago

Pursuant to the provisions of Art. 28 of the GDPR, the Processor and the Controller shall ensure that the processing of personal data in compliance with the data protection requirements is governed by a contract (or another legal act pursuant to Art. 28 (3) of the GDPR), when concluding contracts for data processing.

In the past, the conclusion of bilateral processor contracts pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has often proven to be a lengthy and time-consuming process that tied up valuable resources of the contractual partners involved. Lingohub has therefore decided to fulfill the requirements of Art. 28 GDPR through a unilateral declaration - binding only us. Our Declaration of Voluntary Commitment fulfills the requirements of the GDPR and only imposes unilateral obligations on our company - no obligations arise for you as a contractual partner!

Therefore, you do not have to sign or return our Declaration of Voluntary Commitment, but can always unilaterally refer to it in the relationship with us according to its provisions and file it with your data protection-related documents.

Even companies such as Amazon (AWS) and Microsoft (Office 365) use Declarations of Voluntary Commitment instead of order processing agreements. The Declaration of Voluntary Commitment supplements LingoHub's Terms and Conditions, available at: https://lingohub.com/terms.

You can easily download the Declaration of Voluntary Commitment once you are logged in.
