Automated user management with SCIM

System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) allows Enterprise organizations to automate user lifecycle management in LingoHub directly through their Identity Provider (IdP). Instead of manually inviting, updating, or removing team members inside LingoHub, your IT administrator can manage everything centrally.

Key benefits of SCIM

Setting up SCIM synchronization provides several key advantages over using standard Single Sign-On (SSO) alone:

  • Automated user creation: When an IT administrator assigns a user to LingoHub within your identity provider, their LingoHub user account is automatically created.

  • Role assignment: Administrators can define specific workspace roles (e.g., Admin, Localization Manager, or Member) directly in the IdP, which automatically apply when the user is synchronized to LingoHub.

  • Instant offboarding & access removal: When an employee leaves your organization or is removed from the LingoHub application in your IdP, their access to LingoHub is revoked immediately. Unlike basic SSO, where a deleted user might remain active in a workspace until manually removed, SCIM automatically deactivates and removes the user account.

  • Centralized directory management: Keeps user data, email addresses, and permissions in sync between your corporate directory and LingoHub without manual administrative overhead.
