Single Sign-On (SSO) allows team members to authenticate securely across services using a single set of login credentials. LingoHub supports SSO authentication via OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect across two implementation levels: Standard social logins and Enterprise custom SSO.
Standard social logins vs. Enterprise custom SSO
Understanding the difference between social logins and custom SSO helps you determine the right authentication method for your team:

Standard social logins
All LingoHub users can log in using supported third-party OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Microsoft).
To sign in: Select Log In on the LingoHub sign-in screen and choose your social provider.
To link or switch providers: You can connect a social provider or switch your active sign-in method at any time in your profile settings. For step-by-step instructions, see our guide on How to manage and switch authentication methods.
💬 Please note: When logging in via a social provider, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is managed directly within your social account settings (e.g., Google or GitHub). If you use email and password authentication instead, refer to our guide on How to add two-factor authentication (2FA) to your LingoHub account to protect your profile.
Enterprise custom SSO
For organizations on an Enterprise plan, LingoHub supports custom OAuth-based Identity Provider (IdP) integration. This allows your IT department to enforce centralized login policies and control workspace access via your corporate identity provider (such as Okta).
Key benefits of Enterprise SSO include:
Automatic workspace joining: Unlike social logins, when an employee signs in using your organization's custom enterprise SSO, they are automatically added to your LingoHub workspace without needing a separate manual invitation.
Automated user management via SCIM: Enterprise plans also support SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management), enabling your IT team to automatically create, update, assign roles to, and de-provision user accounts directly through your identity provider.
How custom SSO authentication works
On the LingoHub login page, click Login with SSO.
On the Sign in with SSO screen, enter your corporate email address.
Click Continue with SSO. LingoHub automatically detects your domain's configured IdP and redirects you to your company's login portal.
After successful authentication with your IdP, you are safely redirected back to your LingoHub workspace.
