LingoHub allows you to customize how you log in to your account. You can connect a social login provider or switch between social sign-in and traditional email and password authentication at any time.
Supported authentication providers
In addition to using an email address and password, LingoHub supports social sign-in through the following services:
Bitbucket
GitHub
GitLab
Google
Microsoft
How to connect or switch to a social login provider
To link a social account or switch from your current authentication method to a different social provider:
Click your user profile icon in the top-right corner, then select Security.
Scroll to the Authentication methods section.
Click Connect to a provider (or Switch provider if a social provider is already active).
Select your preferred service from the Service dropdown menu.
Click Connect (or Switch).
Authorize the connection on the provider's sign-in page to complete the setup.
How to switch to email & password authentication
If you currently use a social login provider (e.g., Google) and want to switch to standard email and password login:
Navigate to Security settings.
In the Authentication methods section, click the Email & Password card.
Enter a new password in the modal window.
Click Switch.
Click Send one-time password.
Check your inbox for the one-time password. Please note that delivery may take a few moments.
Enter the one-time password in the modal window.
Click Confirm.
Your social account will be disconnected, and you can now log in using your email address and the new password.
💬 Please note: When using email and password authentication, we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of protection to your account. To learn how to set it up, read our article on How to add two-factor authentication (2FA) to your LingoHub account.
