Protect your translation data and user profile with two-factor authentication (2FA). Enabling 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a time-based verification code from an authenticator app whenever you log in.
💬 Please note: We strongly recommend enabling 2FA if you use email and password authentication. If you currently log in via a social provider and want to switch to email and password, follow our guide on How to manage and switch authentication methods.
How to set up 2FA
Click your user profile icon in the top-right corner, then select Security.
Under the Two-factor authentication section, click Configure next to Authenticator app.
Open your preferred authenticator app (such as 1Password, Authy, LastPass, or Microsoft Authenticator) on your mobile device.
Scan the QR code displayed on screen or manually enter the provided text setup code.
Enter the generated 6-digit verification code into the Enter the code from the application field.
Click Next.
Save your recovery codes by clicking Download, Print, or Copy.
⚠️ Important: Store your recovery codes in a safe place separately from your primary device. Even though active users can view recovery codes inside LingoHub settings at any time (see below), saved codes are essential to regain account access if you:Click Done to complete the setup.
How to access recovery codes
Recovery codes grant access to your account if you lose your authentication device or cannot receive verification codes. Store them securely in a password manager or safe location.
