How One-Time Passwords (OTP) work for social logins

When you register or log in to LingoHub using a social login provider (such as Google, GitHub, or GitLab), your profile does not have a traditional account password. However, sensitive administrative actions still require identity verification.

For accounts using social sign-in, LingoHub automatically issues a One-Time Password (OTP) via email to confirm high-security actions. (You do not need to manually request or generate an OTP.)

💬 Please note: If you registered using a standard email and password combination, you will be prompted to enter your account password instead of an OTP.

An OTP is automatically triggered for identity confirmation when performing critical operations, including:

⚠️ Important: Each OTP is single-use and valid for 5 minutes. Never share your OTP with anyone. LingoHub support will never ask for your temporary verification code.
