How to manage languages in your Storyblok project?

When translating your Stories with LingoHub, project languages are synchronized directly from Storyblok. Languages cannot be manually added or removed inside LingoHub.

How to access Internationalization settings in Storyblok

To manage your space's languages:

  1. Log in to your Storyblok account and select your space.

  2. In the left navigation menu, click Settings (gear icon).

  3. Under the Configuration section, select Internationalization.

What you can configure in the Internationalization settings

Inside the Internationalization page, you can manage field-level translation settings and your language portfolio.

  • Add new target languages: Select a language from the Select language to add dropdown and click Add to enable field-level translations for that language.

  • Delete languages: Remove an existing target language by clicking the trash icon next to the respective language row.

  • View default language: Identify your primary Default language (e.g., English), which LingoHub uses as the source language for content imports.

💬 Please note: For LingoHub to import and translate specific content fields from your components, each field must have the Translatable checkbox enabled in your Storyblok Block Library settings. If this checkbox is left unchecked, LingoHub will ignore the field during content syncs.

Switching languages in the visual editor

Once languages are enabled in your settings, you can switch between localized views directly while editing content:

  1. Open any Story inside the Content section.

  2. In the top bar of the visual editor, click the Languages dropdown.

  3. Select any configured target language (e.g., Arabic, French, German) to inspect or edit field-level copy for that specific locale.
