Connecting your Storyblok space to LingoHub allows you to seamlessly localize your Stories and web copy. By linking Storyblok with LingoHub, you can automatically import source content, translate it using LingoHub’s translation tools and AI capabilities, and synchronize translated copy back to Storyblok.
Generate a Personal Access Token in Storyblok
To connect LingoHub to Storyblok, you need to generate a Personal Access Token in your Storyblok account settings:
Log in to Storyblok, click your avatar in the bottom-left corner, and select Account settings.
In the left navigation menu, go to Personal Access Tokens under the Security section, then click + Generate New Token.
Enter a label in the Name field (e.g., LingoHub Access Token).
Configure token expiration under the Expiration dropdown. Select preset durations or choose Custom to set a custom date (up to a maximum of 1 year into the future)
Enable Full user permission (no scope/space restriction).
💬 Please note: You must enable the Full user permission (no scope/space restriction) toggle. This permission is technically required so that the LingoHub integration can generate the necessary CDN API tokens via the Storyblok Management API. (While Storyblok generally advises restricting token scopes where possible, full permissions are required for this integration to function).
Click Generate Token.
Copy the generated token immediately using the Copy & Close button.
⚠️ Important requirements:
Personal Access Token required: You must create a Personal Access Token under your account settings. Standard space-level access tokens will not work for the LingoHub integration.
Save token immediately: The token is displayed only once upon creation. Make sure to copy and store it securely in a password manager or use it right away.
Create a Storyblok authentication in LingoHub
You can create a Storyblok authentication either under Plugins & Integrations in your Workspace settings or directly during the project setup wizard.
Via Workspace settings
In LingoHub, click your organization name in the top-left corner and select Plugins & Integrations.
Locate the Storyblok card and click Manage.
In the pop-up window, click Add new authentication.
Fill in the required fields in the setup form.
Name: Enter a descriptive label for your connection (e.g., Storyblok TEST).
Server location: Select your Storyblok server region (e.g., Europe).
Access token: Paste the Personal Access Token you generated in Storyblok.
Click Create.
Once a connection to a project is set up, you will be able to see it in the pop-up window.
