Create a CMA token in Contentful
To connect the two platforms, you need to generate a personal access token in Contentful. While Contentful offers standard API keys, those keys only allow you to download data. To actively create and manage translations, LingoHub needs a Content Management API (CMA) token instead.
Log into your Contentful dashboard and click the Settings (gear icon) in the top right corner.
Select CMA tokens from the dropdown menu.
On the CMA tokens overview page, click the Create personal access token button in the top right corner.
A window will pop up asking for configuration parameters. Type in a descriptive Token name (e.g., "test contentful - lingohub integration") and choose an Expiration date (such as 30, 60, or 90 days) from the dropdown.
Click Generate.
Your personal access token is now ready.
⚠️ Important: The generated token is only visible once. Make sure to click the Copy icon. Then click Done.
Create a new authentication in LingoHub
Once you have safely copied your CMA token, you can add the connection in your localization workspace.
Open LingoHub, click your organization name in the top-left corner, and choose Plugins & Integrations from the Administration menu.
Locate the Contentful integration card and click Manage.
Click the Add new authentication button at the bottom of the window.
Fill in your authentication details and click Create:
Name: Give the integration a clear name to help your team identify it later.
Access token: Paste the secure Contentful CMA token you generated in Step
