At Lingohub, we take care of automated processes and your team's time-saving, so all the text and files can be synchronized with our system in a few steps.

There are three options for downloading/uploading (import/export):

  1. Integrations with available repositories, CMS, and applications.

  2. REST API.

  3. Web interface.

This article will describe how to upload/download files through the web interface.

How to open the web interface?

To open the web interface, follow the next steps:

  1. Click on the navigation panel at the appropriate project.

  2. Choose "Resources" below the project name.

  3. Find the buttons "Upload" and "Download."

In case your project has its file type - you will have two options for uploading and downloading - the default format and Lingohub XLIFF.

If, for example, you have a Figma project - there will be only one file type - Lingohub XLIFF (available for any project type).

What is the difference between default format and XLIFF files?

The default file format (type of file is based on your project type) allows you to change the text content and the document structure - deleting and creating the document segments, etc.

Lingohub XLIFF is an extensible platform-independent standard for exchanging localizable data and related information based on the XML markup language. It contains only the text and doesn't affect the structure.

If you have an external translation agency that is not using Lingohub, XLIFF is the best option to share the project content with them and be sure that the entire file structure will be safe.
