How to manage files?

The Files tab inside a project allows you to inspect, search, rename, and manage all active resource files, as well as open them directly in the Editor.

While this guide covers inspecting, renaming, and deleting active files, you can also read How to manually upload resource files or How to export and download resource files to manage your manual file transfers.

Navigating the Files tab

To view your project's resource files, select a project from the left sidebar and click the Files tab:

  • Search files: Use the search bar in the top left to filter resource files by name.

  • Toggle view mode: Switch between Tree view (showing dynamic language variables like %{locale}) and List view (showing individual target language files).

  • Open in Editor: Hover over a file row and click the Open in editor icon or select multiple files and click Open in editor from the bulk action bar.

Renaming or deleting resource files

Click the three-dot menu at the far right of any file row:

  • Locate the file row you wish to modify and use the action tools:

    • Quick download: Click the Download button on an individual file row or use bulk actions (format: .zip file).

    • Rename or move file: Click the three-dot menu at the far right of a file row and select Rename. In the pop-up window, update the file path to move the file or adjust dynamic variables (such as %{locale}) and language code separators.

    • Delete file: Click the three-dot menu or use the bulk selection bar and select Delete. Review the warning regarding permanently deleted resource files and associated segment data, then click Delete to confirm.
