Setting custom budget limits in LingoHub allows Workspace Owners to control additional resource consumption and prevent unexpected overage costs. You can configure spending limits for additional linguistic credits as well as CDN requests.
💬 Please note: Setting up spending limits is restricted to the Workspace Owner by default. For details on workspace role access, see our guide on roles and permissions.
If you have already configured a budget limit and want to adjust or remove it, see our article on How to manage budgets.
How to configure a new budget limit
Click your Workspace name in the top-left corner of the navigation bar and select Subscriptions & Billing.
On the Subscriptions tab, scroll down to the Usage section and locate the resource category you want to limit (e.g. CDN requests or linguistic credits).
Click Set budget.
In the pop-up window, enter your maximum monthly spending allowance in the Budget amount per month field (e.g., minimum €3 for CDN requests or €6 for linguistic credits up to €1,000).
Optional: Check the box Receive budget threshold alerts to send automated email warnings to recipients when usage reaches 80% and 100% of the specified limit.
Click Save changes.
💬 Please note: Budgets only start tracking consumption from the exact moment they are enabled. They do not retroactively apply to credits or requests used earlier in the current billing cycle.
How automated budget limits work
Once a resource category hits its defined budget limit, AI translation activity (such as LINA/linguistic credits) or additional CDN requests will automatically pause until you manually raise the budget limit or the monthly billing cycle resets.
