Discover the versatility of Lingohub's search and filter tools, designed to simplify finding the necessary segments.

A search field represents the search tool at the toolbar and contains search and filtering options. There are a few options for what you can do by using it.

Search by target : Text, Key, ID, Description

Allows fast finding of the segment based on one of the following fields:

  • General search — find the query inside the segments' text;

  • Key search — find the query inside the segments' keys;

  • ID search — find the query inside the segments' IDs;

  • Description search — find the segments where the description matches.

Exact match and case sensitiveness during the search

You can also use the exact match and case sensitivity filters for general, key, and description searches.

Exact match — if you turn on the switcher, the search results will contain the exact words, phrases, or sentences. For example, if you are looking for "Projects," the results will include "projects" and "Projects," but not "Project," "new projects," etc.

Case sensitive — if you turn on the switcher, the search results will contain the words, phrases, or sentences with the exact case. For example, if you are looking for "Projects," the results will include "Projects" but not "project."

Also, you can use both filters. If you turn on two filters and search for "Projects," the results will include the text segments that contain only one word - "Projects."

Scope: Projects & branches filter

We already mentioned that the language list inside the advanced search is defined based on the chosen source and target language in the projects & branches filter. Let's take a detailed look at how this works.

If you want to change a target language to work with, you need to click on the project filtering field and select the target language from the list. You will get a list of the available projects based on the chosen target language, grouped by the source language. You can select a specific or all the projects with the same source and target languages. This choice will determine the list of languages in the advanced search.

Also, when choosing languages, you can overview its branches and progress per each project.
