Managing Linguistic engines

LingoHub connects with leading AI and machine translation providers to give you maximum flexibility across your localization workflows. You can enable or disable specific translation engines workspace-wide, ensuring LINAs use only your team's preferred models.

💬 Please note: Managing LINAs and Linguistic engines requires management permissions for AI translation. By default, this permission is included for Owner, Admin, and Localization Manager roles only.

Different engines offer varying levels of reasoning, speed, and translation depth. Because advanced models require more processing power, each engine carries a specific credit multiplier that affects how many linguistic credits are consumed per translation request.

Every translation request calculates credit usage based on your source text volume, billable context, and the selected engine's credit multiplier. Baseline processing costs start at x1 multiplier models (such as Claude Haiku 4.5 or DeepL V1), while higher-capacity models scale up to x6.
