What are AI translations and reviews in LingoHub? (Working with LINA)

LINA is your AI translation assistant. LINA helps teams create high-quality translations that stay aligned with brand and linguistic standards by using your existing language resources, such as glossaries, style guides, and translation memory.

Unlike generic machine translation tools, LINA works within your localization workflow to deliver consistent, context-aware translations and automated quality reviews tailored to your project requirements.

How LINA works in LingoHub

LINA combines AI with your project-specific linguistic assets to generate translations and perform reviews. This enables accurate results even for technical, industry-specific, or brand-sensitive content.

In LingoHub, each target language can either be assigned to a team member or directly to LINA. Together with the auto-process setting, this creates three workflow modes:

1. Assigned to a team member, auto-process off

LINA does nothing automatically. Team members can still use her inside the editor for translation suggestions, corrections, or on-demand reviews.

2. Assigned to a team member, auto-process on

LINA assists in the background while the team member remains responsible for final approval.

  • Segments in Needs Edit are translated and moved to AI Translated

  • Segments in Needs Review are checked by LINA and marked as QA Passed or QA Flagged

3. Assigned to LINA

LINA manages the workflow end-to-end. Auto-process is automatically enabled.

LINA:

  • translates segments,

  • reviews her own translations,

  • approves translations that pass quality checks,

  • retries failed translations up to 3 times using feedback from previous attempts.

If a segment still fails after the third attempt, it is marked as Blocked so a human can step in.

By integrating your linguistic assets into both translation and review workflows, LINA helps ensure consistent terminology, phrasing, and style across all languages while reducing manual effort and speeding up localization processes.
