How to delete a Glossary?

If a Glossary is no longer needed in your workspace, you can delete it permanently. Deleting a Glossary removes all associated terms, descriptions, and images across all target languages.

⚠️ Important: Deleting a Glossary is permanent and cannot be undone. If the Glossary is currently tied to any LINAs, it will automatically be unlinked from them. If you might need your terminology data later, we recommend exporting your Glossary entries before deleting it.

There are two options to delete a Glossary.

Method 1: Delete a Glossary from the overview list

  1. Click AI in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the left panel under Context, select Glossary to open the overview list.

  3. Locate the Glossary you want to remove and click the three dots icon on the right side of its row.

  4. Select Delete from the dropdown menu.

  5. Confirm the action in the prompt to permanently delete the Glossary.

Method 2: Delete a Glossary from inside the Glossary view

  1. Open AI, then Glossary and click on the Glossary you wish to delete.

  2. In the top-right header (next to the Import button), click the three dots icon.

  3. Click Delete from the dropdown menu.

  4. Confirm the deletion in the popup window.

How to delete individual terms instead of your whole Glossary

If you only want to remove specific terms while keeping the Glossary active:

  • Delete single or multiple terms: Select the checkboxes next to the term rows you wish to remove and click Delete in the bulk action bar at the top.

  • Delete a target language: Click the three dots icon next to a specific language column header and select Delete language to remove translations for that locale only.
