Security alert: "A new device signed in to your account" explained

To help you monitor account activity and protect your localization data, LingoHub automatically sends an email notification whenever a login attempt occurs from an unrecognized device, browser, or network location.

💬 Please note: Receiving this email does not necessarily mean your account is compromised. This automated alert triggers every time you log in from a new browser, clear your browser cookies, or use a different device or network connection.

What to do if you receive an unexpected login email

If you receive this security alert and did not initiate the login yourself, your credentials may be compromised. Take immediate action to review your sessions and secure your account:

Access your security settings

  1. Click your User Avatar / Profile Icon in the top right corner.

  2. Select Security from the dropdown menu.

Review and revoke active sessions

You can inspect and revoke active sessions in two ways:

  • Directly in the Security tab: Scroll down to the Active sessions section. Click Revoke next to any unrecognized session and confirm in the pop-up window.

  • Via the detailed overview: Click See all sessions. This page offers an in-depth overview of both active and inactive sessions, including device type, OS, location, IP address, and last seen timestamp. Hover over any entry and click Revoke to terminate access immediately.
