In LingoHub, a segment is the parent entity (the top-level element that holds keys, source texts, target translations, and contextual data). Deleting a segment removes the entire segment along with all associated keys, translations, and history logs from your project.
⚠️ Important: Permanently deleting a segment removes all associated data from LingoHub's database. Deleted segments cannot be restored.
Steps to delete a segment
Expand the Context panel on the right sidebar.
Make sure the Text tool card is enabled in the Segment info view.
Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the Text card.
In the Segment settings modal, click the red Delete segment button.
Confirm the action by clicking Delete in the confirmation pop-up.
If you only want to remove a key from a segment without deleting the segment itself, read our guide on How to delete a segment key.
