How to use the Translation memory in the Editor?

While translating in the Editor, LingoHub automatically checks your active segment against your Translation memory entries to provide real-time translation suggestions.

Viewing and applying TM suggestions

  1. Select a segment in the Editor and expand the Segment info panel on the right.

  2. Look for the Translation memory section under the Pre-translate section.

  3. If matching entries exist, LingoHub displays suggestions, automatically sorted in descending order starting with the highest match score:

    • Perfect (100%)

    • Good (80%–99%)

    • OK (below 80%)

  4. Choose how to interact with suggestions:

    • Apply suggestion: Click Apply on any suggestion to insert the translated text directly into the target translation field.

    • Open entry details: Click the external link icon next to the Apply button to open the stored translation in a new window for detailed review in the Editor.

💬 Please note: If no matching entry exists in your Translation memory, the panel displays "No translation memory suggestions found." You can still generate suggestions using LINA as an AI assistant in the same panel.
