How to assign team members to a language in your project?

After creating a project, you can easily manage its target languages and define who will be in charge of translating or reviewing them. In LingoHub, you have two distinct ways to assign responsibility for a language:

  • Assign LINA: Set up LINA in specific roles (Assistant, Translator, or Agent) to automate translation workflows.

  • Assign team members: Assign workspace members to manage, review, or translate content for a language.

How much workload an assigned team member has depends directly on LINA's configured role. For details, see Understanding LINA roles and behavior.

  1. Assistant: The team member translates manually; LINA provides on-demand help in the Editor.

  2. Translator: LINA pre-translates and checks automatically; the team member reviews and approves segments.

  3. Agent: LINA translates and finalizes autonomously; the team member only steps in when issues are escalated.

How to assign a team member

Follow these steps to assign a team member to a target language:

  1. Navigate to Projects, then select your project. You will be directed to the Languages view.

  2. Locate the user icon beneath the relevant language name.

  3. Hover over the icon and click Assign a member.

  4. Select a team member from the dropdown menu in the pop-up modal and click Assign.

Assigned members receive notifications whenever human review or intervention is required based on LINA's role.
